POLO's goal in approaching me to create custom lettering artwork for each of their in-store campaigns is to stand out from other major fashion retailers who slap up free fonts in their windows and end-caps. Polo doesn't want to look like another big chain, they want to show the thoughtful craft still present in their subtly designed everyday staple pieces through featuring hand-lettered welcome and promotional artwork.
